Highlight of the Year: UXBERT in Smashing Magazine
When it comes to UX resources, Smashing Magazine is at the top of the game. It’s been posting articles for over 10 years about trends and techniques on everything from UX design, coding, graphic design, mobile and more.
Recently, UXBERT’s Open Device Lab (ODL) was featured in one of Smashing Magazine’s articles – “Where are the World’s Best Open Device Labs?”.

Being the only lab from the Middle East mentioned among the top ODLs from around the world, in one of our favorite industry magazines, yeah that’s something to celebrate 🙂

Located in the heart of Riyadh, with state-of-the-art equipment and a wide range of devices for testing, our Usability and Open Device Lab is the first and only one of its kind in the Kingdom.
And because helping support the local startup community in any way we can is important to us, our ODL is available free of charge to all Saudi startups, aspiring entrepreneurs and ambitious students interested in testing their products with a variety of the latest tech.
Side-by-side with the UXBERT ODL, is our Usability Testing Lab which features a spacious testing room with equipment for testing and recording both desktop and mobile websites and apps with real users. With the latest technologies for testing including eye-tracking tools and brain EEG control devices, we’ve tested products for some of the biggest companies in the country as well as our own home-grown products.
Research and testing is the first step to creating a beautiful customer experience that your users love. We’re passionate about not only delivering international standard customer experiences to our own clients but also helping spread the word about the importance of the testing with real users to startups and businesses in the region.
It’s why we set up the ODL, it’s why we hold our monthly User Experience & Design Meetups and it’s why we do what we do.
